The 160-capacity club (just 90 people less than the total population of Þingeyri) will host the “party at the edge of the world.” The club will host a mix of local DJs and artists from the US and the UK playing classic disco under a spinning mirror ball. It will open its doors in the Þingeyri in Iceland’s Westfjords region on Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th 2022.ĭetour’s styling is largely focused around the iconic New York City clubs of the 1970s and 1980s. The pop-up party venue is in partnership with REYKA vodka, and with support from Visit Iceland and Detour Discotheque. The temporary venue will open in an Icelandic fishing village.
